Soils, sod, and turf.
- Topsoil and garden mix. Screened topsoil for grading and landscape repair. Garden mix blended with compost for planting beds and raised beds.
- Compost. Organic compost for soil amendment, raised beds, and vegetable gardens.
- Mulch. Bark, wood chips, and decorative wood mulch. By the bag or the cubic yard.
- Sod. Special order for patchwork or full lawn projects, including Delta Bluegrass. Fresh-cut and best ordered a few days ahead.
- Artificial turf. Special order through Global Syn Turf in a range of color, texture, and ply. Samples in the office so you can feel the options before you commit.

Mixed on site
Blended in our yard, not trucked in bagged.
We mix our soil on site, enriched with the right blend of nutrients, compost, and mulch to support your planting needs. Soil, compost, and mulch go by the bag for small repairs or by the cubic yard for full-bed installs. Sod and artificial turf come in by special order, with delivery dates coordinated to your schedule.

Three things to know before you order soil or sod.

Coverage and depth
A cubic yard of soil covers about 100 square feet at 3 inches deep. Sod is typically 9 square feet per roll. Bring your dimensions, we back-calc at the counter.

Soil prep for sod
Sod needs prepped soil, leveled and loose, with the right amendments. We can recommend the right under-layer when you order the sod.

Lead time for sod
Sod is freshness-dependent. Call us 24 to 48 hours ahead. We lock in the cut date with our sod farm partners so it arrives the day you install.
Order or pick up
Ready to lay some sod?
Pickup or delivery from our Fremont yard. We answer in person, Mon to Fri 7am to 4pm, Sat 7am to 3pm.
